On October 27, 2018, Dr. Cindy Cui, Chairman of Silicon Valley Global and President of New Silicon Valley Offshore Incubator; Robert Pearlstein, Vice President of SRI International; Newell Arnerich, Mayor of Danville, California; Janis Arnerich, Consultant of Auckland Education Department; Xu Jian, the Chairman of Olymbuiler Investment Co., Inc and other delegates visited Yunnan Province on invitation. They had in-depth discussions  with the People’s Government of Yunnan Province and the Municipal Government of Yuxi and signed cooperation agreements.

In the morning, Zhang Guohua, Deputy Governor of Yunnan Province; Jiang Xingming, Deputy Secretary General of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province; the other related leaders from Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, Industry and Information Technology Department of Yunnan, Human Resources and Social Security Department of Yunnan, Investment Promotion Bureau of Yunnan, Yunnan Education, Science and Technology Department of Yunnan, Bureau of Foreign Experts of Yunnan, and the Municipal Government of Yuxi attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.

Newell Arnerich, Mayor of Danville then introduced the advantages of Silicon Valley and Danville, California, and the great contribution to the cooperation between China and Silicon Valley made by Silicon Valley Global / New Silicon Valley Offshore Incubator. He said that Silicon Valley Global was an indispensable bridge between China and the United States, which played a positive role in promoting a series of Sino-US exchanges in science and technology and culture.

Robert Pearlstein, Vice President of SRI International, introduced the achievements made by SRI International as the largest independent research institution in the United States in the past 75 years since its establishment. He expressed that SRI was very satisfied with the close cooperation with Silicon Valley Global, and hoped to enhance such cooperation in the future. Robert Pearlstein also exchanged views with representatives of Yunnan Province on possible future cooperation areas.

In the afternoon, the delegation of Silicon Valley Global / New Silicon Valley Offshore Incubator visited the Double Innovation Center of Yuxi High-tech Development Zone and held a meeting with the representatives from the Municipal Government of Yuxi. The exchange meeting was chaired by Dai Xingde, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government and attended by Deputy Mayor Tianchuan, and leaders from Yuxi Science and Technology Bureau, and City Investment Cooperation Bureau. During the meeting, Deputy Mayor Tian Chuan gave a detailed introduction to the development of Yuxi. He said that the agreement singed would open a cooperation window between Silicon Valley and Yuxi, and was full of confidence about the  future cooperation.

The cooperation between Silicon Valley Global / New Silicon Valley Offshore Incubator and Yuxi will take culture, education and sports, general aviation, and medical health as the core development areas. They will carry out comprehensive cooperation to jointly promote regional economic and cultural development.
